Stored in an airplane hangar for most of its life, this 1982 Ford Bronco remained in the hands of its original owner until 2018 and has never seen snow or ice. What little time the Bronco has been driven it only accumulated 3,506 miles.
There’s no word on why the SUV was rarely driven, but it features a Victoria Tu-Tone Dark Brown Metallic and Wimbledon White exterior that appears to be in excellent condition. It also sports shiny chrome bumpers, tinted rear windows, and aluminum wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Radial tires. They’re joined by subtle pinstripes and a swing-out spare tire carrier with a Bronco-branded cover.
The brown theme continues in the cabin where there’s Nutmeg colored cloth and vinyl seats. They appear brand new and the listing also says the model comes equipped with air conditioning, a cigarette lighter, a tachometer, and a folding rear seat.
Power is provided by a 5.8-liter V8 engine, which reportedly develops 156 horsepower. It’s paired to an automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system with automatic locking front hubs.
The Bronco will be auctioned by Mecum next month and it’s expected to sell for between $60,000 – $80,000. That’s pretty impressive when you consider that the lower estimate is nearly twice as much as a base 2022 Bronco.
