This page is about the Sherrod Bronco II’s. The Bronco II was done in Sherrods Ponder Texas plant which is now closed. The number of convertibles made is unknown. The convertible top was a dealer option in 1987-1989. The dealer (not sure which one) hired a company called Sherrod Conversions to do the convertible top. We know this because of the “Sherrod” decals on the tailgate.
According to an original owner, he picked out his Bronco II brand new off the lot and the dealer sent it to Sherrod for the conversion.
The top snaps on similar to a Jeep top. There is a groove just above the windshield that the front edge of the top slides into. There is also a groove behind the door, vertical. the rest just snaps on.
